Ramagir Fort in Peddapalli District of Telangana State - How To Reach: A fort is on the Ramagiri hills near Begumpet Town in the Kamanpur Mandal. It is close to the PWD road that goes to Manthani. This famous stone fort with several bastions is built in a big area several kilometres wide. With its large area, Ramagiri Hill is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, including rare plant species and several therapeutic roots. The fort was very important from the beginning of time until the time of the AsafJahis.

Gundaraja of Manthani and Edaraja of Ramagundam were in charge of the fort. After the Kakati Prola II overcame them, the Kakatiyas took control of the entire region, including Polavasa, Manthani, and Ramagundam. After defeating the Kakatiyas, Musunuri Kapayanayaka took over Orugallu and made Muppabhupala the king of Sabbinadu. His capital was at Ramagiri in the 14th century A.D. In 1433, the Ramagiri Fort was taken over by the Bahamani Sultan Ahmed Shah I, who ruled from 1422 to 1436. After the Qutb Shahis of the Golconda family, the Mughals took over the fort, and then the Asaf Jahis and their Deshmukhs took over.
