Know Your Customer (KYC) is a one-time process that helps members be identified. It links the UAN (Universal Account) with KYC information. Some KYC details are bank accounts, Aadhaar, PAN, and other important information. All of these details must be correct and up to date. Also, the EPFO will turn down any online requests you make for withdrawals, account transfers, and other things if your account doesn't meet KYC requirements. So, if you want to use these online services, you must ensure that your KYC is up to date in your PF account.

If you follow our step-by-step guide, you can change your KYC information on the EPFO member portal.

1) Use your UAN number and password to sign in to the EPFO online portal (

2) Sign In It redirects to the dashboard. After choosing "Manage" from the menu bar at the top, choose "KYC" from the dropdown menu.

3) On the following screen, you'll see the form for updating your KYC data. Fill up the fields for your PAN, Aadhaar, passport, and bank account.

4) Make sure to tick the box next to a document if you want to update it. Along with your name, document number, and any other relevant data, such as the IFSC for your bank account or the expiration date for your passport and licence, you must also provide this information. 

5) Click 'Save' from the menu. Your information will be kept in the section labelled "Pending KYC." 

6) The EPFO will check your updated information right away. By selecting the "X" next to the document name, you can opt not to change your information before the EPFO verifies your document. 

7) When your information has been successfully validated, you will be notified.
