The Upper Fort on Bellary Hill includes a citadel, a temple, soldier barracks, and deep wells for water storage. The Lower Fort boasts two entrance gates, one on each side, and is fortified with bastions and deep pits, sometimes filled with water and crocodiles to deter invaders.
