There is a report that marginal farmers and small farmers are mostly committing suicide. They are under pressure from banks and the persons from whom they took loans, so they find no other way to resolve this problem except to commit suicide. Every state doing its best to stop the suicide cases of farmers. Maharashtra is the worst affected state by the farmer suicide cases. The Maharashtra government announced a Scheme for farmers of “Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Shetkari Karj Mukti Yojana”.

Benefits to MJPSKY farmers
2) The debt relief will be directly transferred to the bank account of the farmer.
3) This will decrease the suicide rate of farmers in Maharashtra.
4) This scheme is for every crop the farmer has taken a loan.
5) This scheme will help the farmers with their development as their tension of loan has been solved by the Maharashtra government now; he is thinking of something new to upgrade their agriculture or take another loan for their development.
6) The loan from nationalized banks, Commercial banks, District central co-operative banks, and Rural Banks will be forgiven.
Eligibility Criteria of MJPSKY
2) Should have valid Aadhar card and Ration card.
3) The person employed under state or centre government or any other government services will be exempted from the benefits of this scheme.
4) The person getting a pension from the government will also be exempted from this scheme.
