Documents Required to Seed Aadhaar Card with HDFC Bank?



Before we move to steps to link aadhaar card to HDFC bank just want to let you know that you need the hard copy / Xerox of your aadhaar card and bank account statement. If you are planning it to do online then you don’t need a hard copy just need your 12 digit aadhar number and net banking details. Steps to Link Aadhaar Card with HDFC Bank Online



To link aadhaar card to HDFC bank online please follow the below mentioned steps: 

  1. Visit the login page of HDFC website “Net Banking”
  2. Fill your customer ID & Password
  3. Once you log in to click on the “Accounts” tab
  4. Here you will see a new banner “Link your Aadhaar Number to bank account”
  5. (Note: If you can’t find the banner, go to the offers tab and there you can see all the banners. The banner in the accounts page is dynamic, it keeps changing.)
  6. Click on Update Now button
  7. Fill your name Aadhaar number in the box
  8. Fill captcha code and click on submit button
  9. The provided details by you will be updated in HDFC bank system and they will verify it manually if everything is OK you will get confirmation from HDFC bank in your email address or SMS on your registered mobile number with HDFC bank.


Steps to Link Aadhaar Card with HDFC Bank Offline



If you have not net banking details and want to link your aadhaar card with HDFC bank then you have to do it manually for this you have to 
  1. Visit the nearest HDFC bank branch along with your Aadhaar Card & Bank Passbook / Bank Account Statement Original and Xerox both.
  2. In the branch, you have to ask for the application form to link aadhaar card with HDFC bank account.
  3. You can get the form from the counter itself or can download it from here “Download Form”.
  4. Fill this form accordingly and submit it to the counter.
  5. HDFC bank officer may ask for the original document for verification purpose and will return it to you.
  6. After verification, they will provide lower portion receipt of the form.
  7. The bank will verify aadhaar card linking to bank later manually
  8. Once the verification process is completed you will be notified via SMS or Email.

Unfortunately, HDFC bank is not offering linking aadhaar card to the bank via SMS however if in future HDFC will do it we will update it on our website with detail information.
