YSR Free Borewell Scheme  - How to Apply, Eligibility and Benefits: YSR Borewell scheme is a scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh government for farmers. Free bore wells are provided under this scheme. This is a part of the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. Water is very important for agriculture, and in most parts of the state, water is not available throughout the year, so farmers face many problems. This scheme aims to provide free borewell connections to farmers in such places.

To apply for the YSR Borewell scheme, visit the related official website. Complete details of the scheme are available at the portal ysrrythubharosa.ap.gov.in. We can find the application, guidelines and eligibility conditions there. Fill in the details and submit the application form. There is also a facility to apply for the scheme offline. This can be done at the Panchayat office. Get the information about the scheme from the related person there, and they will also help in processing the application. The selection process of beneficiaries will take time. Applications received will be sent for approval to the Mandal Parishad development officers. Before this, the panchayat secretary will verify them at the field level.

 

Benefits of the YSR Borewell Scheme

Under the YSR Free Borewell scheme, eligible farmers will get Rs. 13,500. With this amount, the farmers can get a borewell connection which will help protect the crop when there is no rain and no natural water resource. This also helps them to increase the production of crops and improve their financial conditions.

 

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for YSR Borewell Scheme, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria-

1.  The farmer should be cultivating land of 2.5 acres or more
2. Collective applications are also accepted, but the total land should not exceed 5 acres.
3. The land should not already have a borewell.

YSR borewell scheme is a free borewell program for farmers. Borewells are drilled free of cost in the lands of needy and eligible farmers. This helps in irrigating every acre of land. This is very beneficial for the small and marginal farmers in the state. Hydro-geological and geophysical surveys will be conducted before drilling the borewells.
