Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme 2024


The Mahila Shakti Yojana is underway in Telangana to empower women, elevate SHG members from participants to prosperous entrepreneurs, and offer financial empowerment and job opportunities. Initially targeting 63.86 lakh members, the scheme aims to elevate living standards. Formerly known as the Indira Kranti Patham, it has been rebranded as the Telangana Mahila Shakti Yojana. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the scheme in the presence of thousands at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad.

Objectives of the Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme


The Mahila Shakti Yojana aims to empower women in Telangana, transitioning them from SHG participants to thriving entrepreneurs while providing job opportunities and financial empowerment. The scheme's primary objective is to improve the living standards of 63.86 lakh participants. Renamed Telangana Mahila Shakti Yojana, this ambitious initiative was formerly called Indira Kranti Patham. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the scheme before thousands of participants at the Secunderabad Parade Ground.

 

Features of Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme


The Telangana Mahila SwaShakti Scheme includes the following features: 

 1) Over the course of five years, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aims to elevate self-help group women to crorepatis.
2) Revanth Reddy has sanctioned interest-free loans totaling Rs 1 lakh crore for women during the Mahila Shakti launch.
3) The scheme was previously known as Indira Kranti Patham (IKP).

Benefits of Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme


Through this program, the Telangana government aims to transform numerous women with modest incomes into millionaires. SHG members can access interest-free loans through this initiative. Additionally, in the unfortunate event of an accident or natural death, the loan of a SHG member is waived. In its initial phase, the initiative provides life insurance coverage to 63.86 lakh women, with a Rs. 5 lakh payout. This coverage extends to each group within the village.
