Goddess Kanaka Durga on the Indrakeelaadri, and they say that the god is swayambhu, which means "self-manifested." Lord Brahma is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva here with jasmine flowers (Mallika), which is why Lord Shiva here is called Mallikeswara. Sri Adi Sankaracharya put Malleswara Swamy in the north part of the Goddess Kanaka Durga Temple in Kanaka Durgamma. He also put up the Sri Chakra and made it possible for Kanaka Durga to be worshipped in Vedic ways.

After Arjuna did a lot of penance for Lord Shiva, this is where he got the Pasupatha Astra. People say that Arjuna put up the Vijayeswara murti to remember the war he had with Lord Shiva, who fought with him while disguised as a hunter and gave Arjuna the Pasupatha Astra as a reward. It was thought that Yudhishtir put up the Murti of Malleswara Swamy after the Pandavas won the battle of Kurukshetra. People say that the wise man Agastya was this god's biggest fan.
One of the many myths about this place says that Arjuna prayed to Lord Shiva on top of Indrakeela hill to get His blessing, and the city got its name, "Vijayawada," from this victory. Another well-known story is about how the goddess Kanakadurga beat the evil king Mahishasura. People say that the growing threat of demons became too much for the locals to handle.
Sage Indrakila did a lot of penance, and when the goddess showed up, he asked her to live on his head and watch over the bad demons. Goddess Durga made Indrakila her permanent home because he asked her to kill the demons. Later, she killed Mahishasura, the king of the demons, which freed the people of Vijayawada from evil.
At the Kanakadurga temple, the goddess's beautiful, 4-foot-tall statue is decorated with sparkling jewellery and bright flowers. Her icon shows Her eight-armed form, each holding a powerful weapon, standing over the demon Mahishashura and stabbing him with Her trident. The goddess is the most beautiful thing there is.
On the Indrakeeladri, next to the Kanakadurga temple, is the shrine of Malleswara Swamy. You'll see small images of gods as you climb the hill steps. Kanaka Durga, Malleswara, and Krishna are some of the most well-known (River).

How to Reach Kanaka Durgamma Temple
On the NH5 highway, Vijayawada is linked to the city by a domestic airport at Gannavaram, about 20 km from the city. The international airport closest to Vijayawada is Hyderabad. From Hyderabad, it takes about 30 minutes to fly to Vijayawada.
By Road:
There are many ways to get to Vijayawada from cities all over India and Andhra Pradesh. The main routes are NH5, which goes from Kolkata to Chennai and goes through Vijayawada, and NH9, which goes from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. You can travel by bus to Vijayawada from many different parts of India.
By Train:
Vijayawada is connected to almost all of the important places in the country by express and superfast trains. Vijayawada is the centre of all the trains in south India. From Vijayawada, the north and south railways split. The train that goes to the southern states is on the southern railway. Most of them have to travel through Vijayawada.
