According to the guidelines of the Kerala Vidyakiranam Scheme 2023, the government will provide educational assistance to economically disadvantaged children of differently abled parents (disability for both parents/disability for any parent). Educational assistance will be provided to 25 children from each district for ten months from each category. The children have been classified according to the classes they are enrolled in, as detailed in the following section.

How to Apply For Kerala Vidyakiranam Scheme 2023

5) This Vidyakiranam Scheme form is available for download in PDF format for all interested candidates. After downloading, candidates must complete the form thoroughly and accurately before submitting it to the concerned authorities.
After verifying the completed application form and supporting documentation, the concerned officer will approve your application. The Vidyakiranam Scheme would then begin providing financial aid for education to all candidates directly into their bank accounts.
Eligibility Criteria and Required Document
- The candidate must be a permanent Kerala resident.
- A candidate must be the child of differently abled parents.
- The candidate must be in the BPL category.
- The parents' disability must be 40% or higher.

Guidelines
- All classes will receive a scholarship for ten months.
- Each class will receive assistance only once.
- Those benefiting from other educational assistance programmes are ineligible for this programme.
- Candidates enrolled in courses at government-approved institutions are eligible to apply. Students pursuing courses from parallel colleges or taking part-time courses are not eligible to apply.
- The duly completed application forms must be forwarded to the concerned District Social Justice Officers via the respective Institution heads. The scholarship funds will be transferred to the eligible recipients' bank accounts.
