E Shram Card Online Registration, Benefits, and Documents Required: The E-shram card scheme has been launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India for the welfare of unorganized sector workers and labourers. The people who register for the E-shram card scheme will be getting a Unique Identification Number (UAN) card. The workers and labourers of India will benefit from the E-shram card scheme.

The process of E-shram card registration is simple. In order to avail of the UAN E-shram card, the self-registration can be done online on the portal e-shram.gov.in For the E-shram card registration, a form has to be filled online then the form will be verified by the concerned authorities. The E-shram card is like a universal card for the workers and labourers of India in order to avail several benefits from the Government of India. The universal account number (UAN) will be mentioned on the E-shram card. This card will be accepted throughout the country and even accident insurance coverage will be given to the candidate under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). E-shram portal registration can be done through Common Services Center (CSC) Seva Kendra. The candidates can also self-register on the e-shram.gov.in portal using their mobile number. But, the mobile number must be linked with an Aadhar card. There are no fees for the E-shram portal registration process.

Here are the steps for the self-registration process

1. Visit the official website. The link is register.eshram.gov.in.


 
2. On the home page of the website, there will be an option called 'Self Registration'. Select that option.
3. After selecting that option, you will get the next page. On that page, the candidate needs to enter his/her mobile number which is linked with an Aadhar card.
4. After that step, fill in the captcha code.
5. After filling the captcha code, the candidate needs to select the option of Yes/No for EPFO and ESIC.
6. After that, click on the 'Send OTP' option.
7. After receiving an OTP, enter it in the asked section.
8. Now, the candidate will be prompted to enter the Aadhar card number. After entering it, accept the terms and conditions and click on the 'Submit button.
9. Then after that, the application form will open. Fill the form.
10. After filling the form, all the relevant documents have to be uploaded.
11. After uploading the documents, click on the 'Submit' option. The candidate can also take a hard copy of the application form for future reference.
12. Now, the self-registration process will be completed.

For E-shram card registration eligibility, the following criteria have to be satisfied :

1. The candidate's age must be between 16-59 years.
2. The candidate should not be a member of EPFO or ESIC.
3. The candidate should not be an income taxpayer.
4. The candidate must be a worker/labourer working in the unorganised sector.

How to download a UAN E-shram card online :

1. Open the E-shram portal e-shram.gov.in.
2. Login with the details.
3. Check the dashboard.
4. In the dashboard, you can find out whether your E-shram card has been approved or not. If the card status is approved, you will get the link to download the E-shram card.
5. If the card status has not been approved or is still pending, you need to wait and try again later.
