With the Kerala Vidhwa Pension Yojana scheme, all widows and divorced women in the state can get financial assistance from the government of Kerala.

How to apply Kerala Widow Pension Scheme

2) A new window opens. Click on Application Forms under the Downloads section to download the IGNWPS registration form or Kerala Widow Pension Scheme 2020 Application Form

3) After downloading the application form, fill it in the Prescribed format and submit the application form to the concerned Grama Panchayat / Municipality. 
 
4) An enquiry will be conducted within one month after submitting the application form, and the beneficiary selection will be carried out within one month after completing the enquiry. 
 
5) A beneficiary list will be sent to the district collector, and an appeal against the beneficiary selection should be given to the District collector within one month of the execution of the order. The action must be taken within one month of submission of the appeal.

Eligibility Criteria for Kerala Widow Pension Scheme

  1. The applicant should either be a widow or divorced or whose husband has been missing for more than 7 years.
  2. The applicant should not be a remarried person.
  3. A person is not eligible for the pension if the applicant receives any other Social Welfare pensions.
  4. No person shall be eligible if he/she resorts to habitual begging.
  5. The applicant is not eligible if the person is admitted to a poor home.
  6. An annual family income of or less than Rs.100000/- is only eligible.
  7. The applicant must be destitute.
