Lockdown effect due to the COVID-19 crisis Many people are jobless & helpless. In Andhra Pradesh, a few people work for a daily salary, and other small professions like (tailors, barbers, and washermen) are getting more financial problems. Because of this, the Government of Andhra Pradesh came one step forward to support them. The Andhra Pradesh State government has started a "Jagananna Chedodu" scheme. This scheme will be helpful for Tailors, Barbers, and Washermen.
This "Jagananna Chedodu scheme" was launched on 9th June 2020 by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Under this Jagananna Chedodu Scheme, beneficiaries will get 10000rs annually to buy tools and meet their investment needs.
Jagananna Chedodu Scheme 2023 was launched by the CM of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on 9th June 2020. This scheme was launched under the supervision of the Social Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh.

So for the welfare of such category, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced that it will launch the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme. Who are the Beneficiaries of Jagananna Chedodu?
This Scheme is eligible for 3 categories. Here we have provided a list:1) Dhobis (Washermen) / Rajakas of the state
2) Nayee Brahmin (Barbers) having their own establishment
3) Tailors belong to the Backward Class (BC), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) category, and Kapu Community.
Jagananna Chedodu Eligibility Criteria
Here we have provided the eligibility criteria for the Jagananna Chedodu scheme. If you are eligible for this Scheme, you need to apply for it.1) The Beneficiary should have a permanent resident in the State.
2)All the Beneficiaries should belong to BPL Families and have the required documents.
3) Tailors, Barbers, and Washermen belonging to BC, EBC, and Kapu Community involved in their respective professions.

Those eligible for this "Jagananna Chedodu scheme" must have all necessary Supporting documents. They must keep documents ready with them at the time of the Survey (or) submission of the application.- BPL certificate
