step 1: Get an application form near Electoral Registration Officer (or) the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your own constituency, (or)the Booth Level Officers of your polling station. This form is free of cost.

step 2: Fill the required details in the application form and give to the Electoral Registration Officer (or) the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your constituency (or) the Booth Level Officers of your polling station.

Step 3: Also you can send the post to the address of the Electoral Registration Officer (or) Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of your constituency. The correct postal address is available on the Election Commission website of the respective union territory or state.

Step 4: Attach the documents like passport sized colored photo, Copy of proof of age/identity, Copy of proof of residence.

Step 5: After submission booth level officer might visit your residence to verify the address.

Step 6: Your form will appear on the notice board of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) inviting objections.(or) you want to go to nearest Electoral Registration Office to inquire the status of the application.

Step 1: Visit the official website  of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Himachal Pradesh

Step 2:  Click on the ‘Voter card Registration’ to get access Form no 6, form 6A, Form 7, Form 8, Form 8A

Step 3:  Click on Form 6 (Inclusion of Names for Resident electors)

Step 4: Duly fill up Form no. 6 by providing the required details such as your name, age, address, etc.
