Nagarjuna Sagar in Nalgonda District of Telangana State – How To Reach: The Nagarjunasagar Dam in Nalgonda District is constructed across the River Krishna and is the largest masonry dam in the world. It is guarded by 26 gates that are each 124.663 meters high. The dam can irrigate 9.81 million acres of land and has a storage capacity of nearly 11,472 million cubic meters. The dam, a popular tourist destination, is 16 km long and 150 m tall. It is one of the earliest irrigation projects launched by the Indian government as part of the Green Revolution.
