Banswada has a growing population, is a significant center for several mandals, and has many people moving in and out of town. Because of this, the Banswada Municipality has focused on making parks and other places to relax.

Since the Nizamsagar canal also sends water to the Kalki Cheruvu, it will always be full. So, the Tourism Department ensured there were places to go boating with modern, safe boats. Officials say a park will soon be built next to the mini tank bund.
