Karnataka Labour Card 2024 – Online Apply, Eligibility & Benefits: The Karnataka Labour Card is an Identity card provided by the Karnataka Labour Department confirming your registration as a worker. It is issued by either the Karnataka State Unorganised Worker Social Security Board (KSUWSSB) or the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (KBOCWWB), depending on your job. This card grants you access to various social security and welfare schemes, such as health insurance, maternity benefits, school financial aid, pensions, accident compensation, and others.

 

Types of Labour Cards

There are two types of labour cards in Karnataka: the building card and the social card.

 

1) Workers employed by a licensed contractor can get a building card. This card gives access to many benefits.

2) Those who do non-building work like farming or horticulture can use the social card. It also provides health insurance benefits.

Eligibility Criteria :

To qualify for a labour card, you need to meet these criteria: 

1) Age must be between 18 and 60.
2) Must be registered as a worker with the local District Labour Office.
3) Must be a resident of Karnataka.

Documents Required :

Following are the documents required for the Karnataka Labour Card. 

1) Aadhaar Card
2) Bank account number
3) Family member’s Aadhaar card
4) A Passport size photograph
5)Ration card (optional)

How to Apply for Karnataka Labour Card Online

Follow the steps below to apply Online for a Labour Card.

 

1) Go to the official website (https://labour.karnataka.gov.in/english) and click on the ‘online registration and renewal’ tab.

2) Read all instructions on the ‘Labour Act management’ page carefully.
3) Select the ‘New Registration’ tab to create a portal account.
4) Fill in your details like name, email, phone number, etc.
5) Enter your Aadhar number and verify it using OTP.
6) Choose your profession from the drop-down menu.
7) Upload necessary documents like ID proof, address proof, age proof, job proof, etc.
8) Pay the Rs. 25 registration fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
9) After submitting your application, note down the application number for future reference.

How to Download Online Karnataka Labour Card

Once your application is approved, you can download your Karnataka Labour Card online by following these steps:
1) Visit the Karnataka Labour Department’s official website.
2) Click on the online registration and renewal tab.
3) Choose the Download Registration Certificate option.
4) Enter your registration number and click “Search.”
5) Your labour card details will be displayed.
6) Click on the “Download” option to save your labour card as a PDF file.
