Jurala Dam in Ranga Reddy District of Telangana State – How to Reach & Timings: The Priyadarshini Project, also known as the Jurala Project, is situated 10 km far from Kurvapur Village in the Telangana district of Mahabubnagar. The Reservoir, located over the Krishna River, has 1045 feet. This power facility, which can produce 11.94 TMC, was officially opened in 1995. The water for this project is combined with water from the Kuravpur Kshetra River at the location.

Jurala is situated between the cities of Atmakur and Gadwal, around 60 kilometres from Mahabubnagar. You can take a train from Gadwall to the Jurala Dam, and then you’ll need to travel another 20 kilometres to get there. Mahabubnagar district serves as the entrance to Telangana for the River Krishna.

Since this is the only hydroelectric project in Telangana with year-round water, the Dam has national significance and attracts tourists, mainly from Karnataka and Maharashtra.

A Deer Park is located about 1¬Ĺ¬†kilometres from the Reservoir and the Dam, which overflows with life all year long. Deer number roughly 100 in the park. The Ramalayam and Parthasaradhi Temple, close to the Jurala Dam, lends the area a touch of spirituality. Numerous local tourists visit the Dam all year round.
