Eligible to Apply for Issuance of Ration Card in Himachal Pradesh
1) Person having no ration card: In this scenario, the applicant must show a written document from the Panchayat Secretary/ Panchayat Sahayak/ Food & Supplies Officer/ Inspector, FCS&CA/ Concerned Authority stating that the individual does not have a ration card. This proof needs to be sent with the application form for a ration card.
2) Temporary Ration Card: Millions of migrants will be given temporary food cards that should last no more than three months.
3) In case of birth of a child: Attach the child's birth certificate to the ration card along with the application, which should be typed or neatly handwritten on plain paper and sent to the Panchayat Secretary, Panchayat Sahayak, Food & Supplies Officer, or Inspector, FCS&CA. Don't forget to include the ration card itself.
4) Duplicate Ration Card: If the ration card is lost or becomes disfigured, mutilated, unreadable, or otherwise rendered, unless due to the fault of the ration card holder, the competent authority can issue a new ration card after charging the relevant charge.
5) A person having a ration card at the previous place: This applies to people who are moved from one place to another by the government or for some other reason. In this case, the Panchayat Secretary, Panchayat Sahayak, Food & Supplies Officer, or Inspector, FCS&CA of the place where the person used to live must sign the Deletion Certificate. This proof needs to be sent with the application form for a ration card.
