In this scheme, the government provides these persons a monthly fixed pension amount. The scheme was introduced and inaugurated by the chief minister of Odisha, Mr Naveen Patnaik. This scheme is only for those old age people who are overall dependent upon others for their expenses, not for those who have retired from any public sector. Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2023 merges two old schemes: the revised Old Age Pension Rules 1989 and the Disability Pension Rules 1985. Approximately 50 lakh persons will be covered under this scheme.

Benefits of the Madhu Babu Pension Scheme

1) Madhu Babu Pension Yojana provides a monthly fixed amount to the beneficiaries who are applied under this scheme and fully eligible for the benefit.
2) The main motive of this scheme is to cover old age, widows and handicapped people.
3) Approximately 50 lakh beneficiaries are covered under this scheme.
4) Under this pension scheme, the monthly pension amount is Rs. 500 for each beneficiary up to the age of 79 and Rs. 700 each for beneficiaries of 80 years or above.
5) According to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, this scheme provides help to old age persons and disabled persons to be covered under the social security scenarios and helps them with their day-to-day needs.

Who is eligible under this scheme (MBPY)

1) The applicant who wants to benefit from this pension scheme must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
2) The applicant's family income should not be above Rs.24000 per year.
3) This pension scheme prescribes no age limit for widows.
4) The applicant should belong to the poor section and BPL from Odisha.
5) Both Males and females in old age may benefit from this scheme.
6) The registered AIDS patient with a state or district AIDS control society can also be eligible to benefit from this scheme.
7) Those persons are exempted from this scheme who are retired from any of the public government department
8) Madhu Babu Pension Yojana is for the widow of an AIDS patient.
9) Leprosy and deformity patients can also benefit from this scheme.
10) Blind, handicapped, and mentally retarded patients whose age is 0-5 years are also covered under this scheme.

Steps To Apply For Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Online

You can apply online or in-person to take advantage of the program. If you'd rather fill out an application in person, you can go to the Office of the Block Development Officer or the Executive Officer of the Municipality/NAC. You can also apply online. Here are the steps you need to take:

1) Visit the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities's official Website: https://ssepd.gov.in/

2) Go to the home page and click the "Schemes" link. " Under "Programmes & Schemes", click on "Madhu Babu Pension Yojana"

3) A new page will show up on the screen, and you will need to choose "Madhu Babu Pension Yojana" from the list of "old age pension odisha schemes."
4) The entry form will appear on the screen if you click the "Proceed" button. You can also click here to open the form right away.
5) Choose a scheme type and give a name, father's or husband's name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, Aadhar number, district, subdivision, address, and social category.

6) After that, you'll need to upload a scan of your Aadhar card, your thumbprint or signature, and a recent photo of yourself that is passport size.
7) Carefully read the statement and then check the box.
8) After reviewing the information, click the "submit" button on the Madhu Babu pension list.

Steps To Track Your Application For The Scheme

1) Visit the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities's official Website: https://ssepd.gov.in/

2) On the home page, click on " Track Your Application Status"

3) It redirects to the "Application For Beneficiary" page. You need to select Madhu Babu Pension Yojana from the drop-down under "Track Application Status" and click the Track button.

4) It opens the "Track Madhu Babu Pension Yojna Application" page you need to enter your application ID (or) Aadhaar Card and Date of Birth. Just click on the Search Button.

5) Application Status will display on the screen.
