About Odisha KALIA Yojana
1) The most significant benefit of this Odisha KALIA Yojana is that the government provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers by giving them Rs. 25,000 per family in each of the five cropping seasons. This assistance is aimed at helping them purchase inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other necessities for farming. Assistance for labour and other investments is also provided.
2) The government provides financial support for various agricultural activities such as small-scale goat farming units, mini-layer units, duck units, fish kits for fishing, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, and other related agricultural activities. Each landless agricultural family will receive Rs. 12,500 for these purposes.
3) Weaker artisans/landless agricultural labourers will also receive Rs. 10,000 per family annually for their sustenance.
4) Farmers will also be provided crop loans at a zero per cent interest rate up to Rs. 50,000.
