Raja Ramachandra Jadhav built the Sri Veerabhadreshwara Temple in 1725. This temple is known for its moving pillar. It is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra, another name for Lord Shiva. The statue in the chamber is beautiful. The building has two 50-foot-tall lamp pillars.

Sri Veerabhadreshwara Temple
Mythology says that Veerabhadra is a great being made by Rudra's anger (Shiva) after Sati, Shiva's wife, burned herself in the Yagna. Veerabhadra is one of the most important gods in the religion of Veerashaiva Lingayat, which is mostly practised by Pancham-acharyas from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
In January or February, a seven-day Veerabhadreshwara Jatra is held every year. Currently, lakhs of people visit this old temple of Lord Veerabhadreshwara.
