Kalpana Chawla Chatravriti Yojana - Apply Online, Benefits & Eligibility: The Government of Himachal Pradesh started the "Kalpana Chawla Chatravriti Yojana" in 2012-13 to honour the late astronaut Kalpana Chawla. It is a scholarship program for girls from economically weaker areas of Himachal Pradesh who want to go to college without worrying about money, reach their career goals, and become self-sufficient. The program is for all eligible girl students in Himachal Pradesh who live in the state and attend government-approved schools.

 

Eligibility For Kalpana Chawla Scholarship

Below are the Eligibility Criteria For Kalpana Chawla Scholarship : 

1) The applicant must be a Himachal Pradesh resident.
2) The girl must be the candidate. The applicant must be a full-time student in the Science/Arts/Commerce stream of a 10+2, academic, professional, or technical institution.
3) The candidate must be accepted into a government, government-aided, or private school connected to the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education.
4) The scholarship can be used for undergraduate, graduate, and professional classes at a college or university.
5) The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in Dharamshala will give the grant based on the 10+2 merit list.

Benefits of the Kalpana Chawla Scholarship

1) The scholarship is worth 15,000 annually and will be sent to the recipient's bank account.
2) The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of five years, provided the student meets the eligibility requirements.

6) Admission Certificate of the Post 10+2 Course
7) Selection Letter Granted by the Educational Authority
8) Passport Size Photo
9) Bonafide Certificate
10) Bank Passbook

How to Apply For Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Online

1) Go to http://www.scholarships.gov.in/ and click the "New Registration" button.

2) There will be a form to fill out. (Fields with a * must be filled out) Fill in the information, then click "Register." The screen will show your Application ID and password. The same thing will also be sent to your registered phone number as an SMS.

3) Go to https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction Click "Login to Apply" to apply. Type in your User ID and password. Type the Captcha and click the "Login" button. On the next screen, enter the OTP you got on the phone number you registered. You will be taken to the screen where you can reset your password. Make and confirm a new password. Click the "Submit" button. You will be taken to the "Applicant's Dashboard".

4) Click "Application Form" on the left side. The fields with a * must be filled out. Fill in the information and upload the documents. Click "Save as Draft" to save the application and finish it later. If not, click "Final Submit" to send in the form.
