Licensing Unit of Delhi Police provides licenses for running swimming pools, discotheques, cinema halls, auditoriums, amusement parks, and other such kind of businesses within city limits. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization headed by the Joint CP (Licensing), which possesses the power to grant/issue licenses on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
A person can apply for a new licence for any of the following:
1) Arms License
2) Registration of Eating Houses
3) Hotel/ Motel/ Guest House
4) Tile verification for newspaper and magazine
5) Performance license (for Ram Lila/ Rawan Dahan/ Durga Puja/ Mela etc.) for unlicensed premises only.
6) Video Game Parlour License
7) Cinematography
8) Fireworks License
9) Authentication of newspaper, magazine and printing press
10) Explosive License

Documents Required
1) For the grant or renewal of a cinema licence, you need a site plan, two copies of approved building plans, a copy of the occupancy/completion certificate, the ownership title, a court fee of Rs. 5, an attested copy of the fee receipt, and ETO clearance. For a premises licence for a discotheque, you also need a request letter or application on plain paper, proof of ownership, details of the eating house licence (if there is one) and its documents, such as a photocopy of the valid eating house licence, trade licence, fire N.O.C., etc., details of the excise licence (if there is one), related documents if the proposed discotheque is in the same premises or in a different one, and a prescribed

Steps to Apply for Business License New Registration

2) Select the appropriate radio button between ‘New Application’ and ‘Renewal’.
3) Select the appropriate department from the provided list under the drop-down menu.
4) Enter other details correctly and click on submit button.
5) You can also upload scanned copies of the required documents.
6) On successful registration, you will get a system-generated registration number. Note it and keep it safe with you. Use this number to know the status of your application.
