Punjab Ashirwad Scheme 2023 - Registration, log in at ashirwad.punjab.gov.in: The Punjab state government has started the Aashirwad Scheme to help pay for the wedding of a girl child. This will cost Rs. 51,000. The government has changed the name of the scheme from Shagun to Ashirwad. This is the second time the amount of the scheme has gone up. When the Congress party took over in Punjab in 2017, it quickly raised the amount of help from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 21,000. It then raised the amount of help again to Rs. 51,000. Girls from the scheduled caste (SC), backward classes (BC), and economically weaker sections (EWS) can now apply online. About Punjab Ashirwad Scheme


Under the Punjab Ashirwad Scheme, the Punjabi government would give girls from poor families grants between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 21,000. When the poor girl gets married, she will still get this help with money. Under the scheme, women from scheduled castes and economically backward classes (EBC) at least 18 years old can benefit.
 
Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, the minister for empowerment and minorities, said that 10,873 women from scheduled castes would get Rs. 22 crores through the Aashirwad initiative. In addition, Rs. 17 worth of gasoline was given to 8,000 girls from lower castes and financially poor groups.
 
The Punjab government has spent Rs 129.29 crore on the 25,399 people taking part in Ashirwad this fiscal year.
 
For weddings, the scheme gives women from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other disadvantaged groups Rs 51,000. The total cost of the scheme for the fiscal year 2022 is Rs 161.31 crore.

Documents Required


Here is the complete list of documents that must be attached to the Punjab Aashirwad Scheme online application form once it is filled out: - 

1) Proof of Residence
2) Proof of the Date of Birth of the girl
3) Verified by Sarpanch, Gazetted officer, Panch, Nambardar, Ward Councillor, President Nagar Conceal/Mayor, or MLA
4) Copy of the annual family income self-declaration or income certificate
5) Copy of B.P.L. (Below Poverty Line) Card

Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Ashirwad Scheme


For the applicant to be eligible for the benefits of this Ashirwad Scheme, he or she must meet the following requirements:
 
1) The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
2) The applicant's family must live below the poverty line (BPL)
3) Those who want to apply must be from Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, or other low-income families.

Benefits of the Punjab Ashirwad Scheme


Here are the benefits of this scheme: 

 1) At the time of their wedding, women from social groups with low incomes will receive a gift of Rs.15,000.
2) If a girl from a specific social group needs money for a wedding, she can apply for this programme.
3) The aid money will go straight from DBT to the bank accounts of the people who are getting it.
4) Rs 22 crores have been given to 10,873 girls from scheduled castes through this scheme.
5) A total of Rs.17 crores was also given to 8,209 women from poor families and people in the lower class.
