Karnataka Annapurthi Rice ATM Grain Dispenser Scheme - How to apply, Eligibility and Documents required: The Karnataka state government launched the Annapurthi rice ATM grain dispenser scheme also called as Karnataka rice ATM Yojana in December 2020. The Karnataka rice ATM Yojana is a food scheme of Karnataka which aims to help the people living in slums to get rice dispensed through the nearby rice ATM's. This food scheme of Karnataka is being launched by the collaboration of the Karnataka state government and the United Nations World Food Program (WPF). Currently, the Karnataka Anna Bhagya scheme is already being implemented in the state. Under the Karnataka Anna Bhagya scheme, the state government is providing rice, grains and other essentials to 1.27 crore families.

Main Objective of Karnataka Annapurthi Rice ATM scheme

The main objective of this food scheme launched by the Karnataka state government is to provide rice to the lower income people of the state and the people living in slums. The successful implementation of this scheme is going to help eradicate hunger from the state. The rice grains will be filled in the rice ATM so that the people can get rice from the machine whenever they want to. The rice ATM's will be available throughout the day.

The capacity of the Annapurthi Rice ATM machine

As per the latest update, the Karnataka state government is going to install rice dispensing machines in different sizes ranging from 100 kg to 500kg in capacity.

Eligibility criteria for Annapurthi Rice ATM scheme

  • This scheme is available only for the people residing in Karnataka.
  • Only the lower income people and people living in slums are eligible for the scheme.

Documents required for Annapurthi Rice ATM scheme

  • ID proof (Aadhar card or voter ID card)
  • Address proof (Aadhar card or voter ID card)
  • BPL ration card is also required since this scheme is only applicable for lower income people and people living in slums.

How to apply for the Annapurthi Rice ATM Grain Dispenser scheme

Since this scheme is a newly launched scheme by the Karnataka state government, no application/registration procedure has been announced. However, the government has announced that all the beneficiaries will be having biometric rice ATM cards so that they can avail this facility.
