If you are applying for ration card in Karnataka state than the following documents should be accompanied by you while filling out the application form:-
- A copy of original residential proof
- Passport size photograph of the applicant
- Copy of identity proof like voter ID card, driving license, Aadhar card.
- A copy of income proof of the family
- Valid Mobile number or Email address
- A copy of the age certificate of the head of the family
- Tenancy agreement (if the applicant is a tenant)
How to Apply for Ration Card in Karnataka State
1) Visit the official website (https://ahara.kar.nic.in/)
2) Click on eServices (ಇ-ಸೇವೆಗಳು) On home page tab it will redirect to other page.
3)Click on the e-Ration Card (ಇ-ಪಡಿತರ ಚೀಟಿ). Then Select New Ration Card (ಹೊಸ ಪಡಿತರ ಚೀಟಿ )
4)Then choose the type of ration card.
5)The applicant will be asked to enter the Aadhar number. The registered mobile number will receive the OTP.
6)Enter the OTP to get the Aadhar details. Fingerprints are then verified.
7)Follow the instructions to add or delete the family members. Give contact details. After thoroughly checking the information entered, save the application.
8)Ration card is usually issued 15 days after the application is submitted.
9)Applicant can collect the ration card copy by paying a fee of Rs. 100.
