Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department of Karnataka issues four types of ration cards as per the economic status of the applicants. Eligibility For Karnataka Ration Card

Every resident of Karnataka state is eligible to get a ration card from the government. However, depending on the type of ration card, the eligibility conditions change. Every family can obtain a non-priority household card. Annapurna yojana ration card is given only to people above the age of 65 years. Families with annual income less than Rs. 15,000 are eligible for an Antyodaya Anna Yojana ration card. People residing in rural areas can apply for a priority household ration card.

This card allows the cardholder to get food grains and other civil supplies at subsidized rates. Apart from this, there are other uses for the ration card. This card is accepted as identification proof for obtaining income certificates, driver's licenses, PAN, etc.

 

Documents Required

If you are applying for a ration card in Karnataka state, then the following documents should be accompanied by you while filling out the application form:-

2) Passport size photograph of the applicant  
3) Copy of identity proof like voter ID card, driver's license, Aadhar card.

7) Tenancy agreement (if the applicant is a tenant)   

How to Apply for Ration Card in Karnataka State



To apply for a Karnataka ration card, then you can follow the simple steps given below:-

1) Visit the official website (https://ahara.kar.nic.in/)

2)  Click on eServices (ಇ-ಸೇವೆಗಳು). On the home page tab, it will redirect to another page.

3) Click on the e-Ration Card (ಇ-ಪಡಿತರ ಚೀಟಿ). Then Select New Ration Card (ಹೊಸ ಪಡಿತರ ಚೀಟಿ )

4) Then choose the type of ration card
5) The applicant will be asked to enter the Aadhar number. The registered mobile number will receive the OTP.
6) Enter the OTP to get the Aadhar details. Fingerprints are then verified. 
7) Follow the instructions to add or delete the family members. Give contact details. After thoroughly checking the information entered, save the application.
8) Ration card is usually issued 15 days after the application is submitted. 
9) Applicant can collect the ration card copy by paying a fee of Rs. 100.
