YSR Arogya Asara Scheme is one of the welfare schemes of Andhra Pradesh government. This scheme is meant for the eligible labourers who underwent surgeries in Arogyasri scheme.
Financial assistance is given to these patients for post operative expenses under this scheme.
Rs. 225 per day or a maximum of Rs. 5000 per month is given through this scheme for three
months. The amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. The
beneficiaries can also avail quality health care.

Poor patients who want to avail YSR Arogya Asara scheme have to register their names by submitting the application form. Following documents have to be attached to the application.
Poor patients who belong to backwards and minority categories can now get financial assistance for the recovery priory after undergoing surgery. The scheme is expected to benefit more than 4.5 lakh people in the state. This scheme will be applicable to patients who underwent 836 types of surgeries under 26 special categories.

How to Apply for YSR Arogya Asara Scheme
Poor patients who want to avail the benefits of the scheme need to submit the application through proper channel. The application must be submitted along with all the required documents. Andhra Pradesh state government has listed 25 treatment categories. Bank account details of the beneficiary have to be given in the application along with Aadhar card number. These details have to be given at the hospital when taking admission. After the patient is discharged from the hospital, within 48 hours their account will be credited with the financial amount. Eligibility
- Only the permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh are eligible for YSR Arogya Asara scheme.
- This scheme is meant for only ST, SC, OBC and minority groups.
- The patient needs to have taken admission in the hospital from the list selected by the state health department.
